Women In Wine
A curated six-pack celebrating women shaping the world of wine. From the sun-drenched vineyards of South Africa to the steep slopes of Germany and the historic cellars of France, each bottle reflects a distinct perspective, place, and approach to winemaking. Thoughtful, expressive, and full of character, these are wines made with intention and individuality.
Botanica ‘Mary Delany’ Chenin Blanc, Citrusdal Mountain, South Africa 2022
Founded by Boston-born Ginny Povall, Botanica is rooted in Stellenbosch’s Protea Heights Farm, where she planted her first vines in 2009. Self-taught and detail-driven, Ginny crafts refined, energetic wines that balance Old World structure with New World vibrancy. The Mary Delany range sources fruit from distinctive Cape vineyards, with labels inspired by the intricate botanical collages of the 18th-century British artist.
Juwel Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc), Trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany 2023
Juliane Eller took over her family’s Rheinhessen estate at just 23 and transformed it into Juwel. She streamlined production, shifted to organic farming, and embraced hand harvesting, focusing on precision and quality. Her wines are modern, dry, and expressive, capturing the freshness and diversity of Germany’s largest wine region.
Domaine Denizot Sancerre, Loire Valley, France 2024
At this sixth-generation Sancerre estate, Jennifer Denizot works alongside Thibauld to craft focused, terroir-driven wines. With a commitment to organic farming and minimal intervention, the approach is hands-off in the cellar and attentive in the vineyard. The result is pure, mineral Sancerre with clarity, balance, and a strong sense of place.
Château La Rose Figeac, Pomerol, Bordeaux 2018
Nathalie Despagne has led this small Pomerol estate since 2013, refining both vineyard and cellar practices with an organic, terroir-first approach. Working primarily with Merlot, she produces wines that are elegant, fresh, and structured, with depth and purity. Her philosophy is rooted in respect for the land and a commitment to expressing the identity of each vintage.
Domaine Denis Carré Bourgogne ‘Les Lormes’, 2022
Now under the direction of Gaëtane Carré, this family domaine in the Haute-Côtes-de-Beaune continues its evolution with a focus on organic farming and careful vineyard work. Gaëtane brings precision and energy to the wines, crafting expressive Burgundy that balances freshness, structure, and approachability across the estate’s diverse holdings.
Domaine Françoise André Chorey-lès-Beaune ‘Tue Boeuf’, 2019
Lauriane André leads this Côte de Beaune estate with a commitment to organic farming and minimal intervention. Her approach emphasizes finesse and transparency, allowing each site to speak clearly. The wines are elegant and detailed, reflecting both the character of the terroir and Lauriane’s thoughtful, hands-on stewardship.
A collection that celebrates not just exceptional wines, but the women behind them. Driven, focused, and shaping the future of wine, one bottle at a time.
