Since 2019, Les Quelles de La Coste (LQLC) by John Malkovich has been a cornerstone of GFG’s wine scene, and it’s the entire lineup that’s captured our hearts. Hailing from the South of France, LQLC is all about expressing the vibrant fruit of Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir — sometimes separately, sometimes beautifully blended — with wines that are playful, expressive, and utterly distinctive.
 
From the crisp, fan-favourite Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé to the layered, playful 7 Quelles blend, and the elegant, silky single-varietal Pinot Noir, these wines showcase charm, depth, and personality. Add the bold, structured Cabernet Sauvignon and the crown-jewel 14 Quelles, concentrated, layered, and complex, and it’s easy to see why we love this lineup so much.
 
Owned by John Malkovich and partner Nicole Peyran, LQLC is a small-production estate with a tiny, dedicated team — John, Nicole, and Ralf— who have big dreams and the quality to match. Their wines are making headlines with rave reviews and top Decanter points, and each bottle tells its own story — a fantastic expression of the man himself.

❤️ 7 Quelles’, Pinot Noir/Cabernet Sauvignon, 2022

Blackberry and ripe plum, complemented by notes of herbaceous garrigue and a subtle spice on the nose.  Medium bodied with notes of black currant, violet, licorice and warm spices with silky tannins and a vibrant, refreshing acidity, providing a well-balanced and elegant finish.

This wine greets you with bright strawberry, raspberry, and cherry, layered with juicy blackberries and delicate floral notes of violets.
