🏆I have had these 3 wines pinned as my top favorites since the very beginning of the portfolio. I am a lover of complex wines with interesting flavors, aromas and intensities that reflect the style of winemaking.
💛Bedouet Vigneron ‘Expression du Pallet’ Muscadet Sèvre et Maine, Sur Lie, 2014 :
This Cru Muscadet from the commune of Le Pallet in the Loire Valley is aged on its lees for a minimum of 24 months giving this wine a unique and tasty umami twist. The aromas sit in the realm of lemon peel, shortbread, cheese, fresh oysters and chalk. On the palate it’s tart with rich, toasty notes. Green apple, honey, yogurt and wet stone with a silky texture and rocky minerality. A pleasure to drink and great for those looking to try something different!
💛Domaine Rougeot Père et Fils Monthélie, ‘Les Toisières’, 2017:
Pierre-Henri has been quietly producing impeccable minimal intervention, low-sulfur wines since he returned to the family domaine in 2010, farming the vineyards organically. Pierre-Henri’s no sulfur vinification effortlessly balances a natural wine approach with traditional Burgundian technique, creating wines with energy and balance.
An impressive low sulfur wine such as ‘Les Toisières’ boasts aromas of baked apple and pear, caramel, dried apple skin and vanilla. This is a round and oaky Monthelie blanc with flavors of lemon curd, white peach, vanilla and toast. An excellently balanced white Burgundy, this is hands down my favorite!
❤️Bostock Syrah, 2017:
Bostock has 50 hectares of prime viticulture land within the Bridge Pa Triangle containing the oldest soils on the Heretaunga Plains. Hawke’s Bay is regarded as the premier growing region of New Zealand and celebrated for its diversity of soils and warm and sunny maritime climate.
From the moment this hit my lips I knew I was tasting something special. As a self proclaimed Syrah freak, I declare this as one of my absolute favorites. Reminiscent of the Northern Rhone, this New Zealand Syrah shares similar meaty aromas with black pepper and cigar box however the body is a tad lighter making it quite easy to drink. Dark berries, black olives, cracked black pepper and tobacco.
